To me, the perfect skirt has to tick a few boxes:
- Versatile enough to play either a main or supporting role in an outfit
- Interesting and special on its own but easy enough to pull out of your closet at the last minute.
- Detailed enough to be dressed up, subtle enough to be worn casual.
- Pockets.
Take all the above and put it in a design that is universally flattering on all body types, make it available in sizes 2-24 and you have yourself The Most Perfect Pleated Skirt.
I was compelled to design this skirt when someone told me she ‘could never’ wear pleated skirts. They never fit her right and always made her self conscious. I knew that it all boiled down to the proper proportions and measurements so I set out to perfect this winter closet staple.
My Most Perfect Pleated Skirt features strategically placed pleats that are spaced to draw the eye inward and fall gracefully over the body. The paper bag detailing at the waistband lends interest, defines your waist, and balances out the volume of the skirt, while the double belt loops are another subtle detail to elevate any look. And did I mention it has pockets?
